The i have picked to critique is an up close black and white image of bicycle chain. The composition of this photo is classified under Zig Zag Lines - Lines that cut the focal plane diagonally or in a zig zag patter. The light of the photo is coming in from the top right casting a shadow on the lower end. The image is also abstract. What makes the image appear to be abstract is the shadow that's being cast. it gives the appearances that there are more teeth. Also many would be able to distinguish what the image is to due the photo of the image being so up close.
This photo really speaks to me in many ways. When I was a teenager I would go bike riding a lot before football practice. To just take mind off this and to get more exercise. This photo also take me back to what feels to be a simple time in my life. Where didn't have to worry about much. I was just able to hop on my bike and just go and explore the city. A lot of times me and y friends would meet up on the weekends and go riding a round the city. We would try to find new place to visit and explore.
